Barbacoa & Big Red Festival

In Texas, we have many different festivals. One of the more interesting festival is the Barbacoa and Big Red festival. The Barbacoa and Big Red festival is held on May 19th in San Antonio, Texas. This festival is centered around eating Barbacoa tacos and drinking a Texas native soft drink: Big Red. Barbacoa is meat that is made from cow cheek (or sometimes tongue) and although this may sound unappealing to some in Texas it is a delicacy. So, if you’re ever in Texas around this time be sure to stop by San Antonio and enjoy the festival!
