Austin Pecan Festival

Despite the name the Austin Pecan festival is not about Pecans. This festival is one that is surrounded by musicians preforming and vendors selling homemade goods and wears along the famous 6th street (formally named Pecan street) in Austin. This festival happens bi-annually (twice a year) and is one of Austin’s oldest festival ( began in 1978). This festival is open to the public and has tons of delicious food stands. I’ve been to this festival tons of tons growing up, and it a nice place to go listen to live music. A lot of the vendors are nice and friendly and it’s a good place to make friends if you go. However, if you do decided to go just know that it can be very hot, so be sure to dress lightly and perhaps even bring your own water!
As always, till next time!
