I really am such a sucker for sunsets. Ogaki’s had some really nice sunsets visible from the train station that I’ve gotten to enjoy. However, a recent schedule change has allowed me to experience beautiful sunsets else with Gifu Prefecture, and I got to appreciate some gorgeous vistas out in Nagara while en route to the bus.

This particular day was a nice one. After days of nonstop rain, the clouds had finally cleared. It was a little humid during the day, but by dusk a nice breeze had  dispersed the humidity, making for a comfortable atmosphere in which to appreciate the view.

I often miss the mountainous horizon of the Pacific Northwest, but I gotta give credit where credit’s due. Gifu’s flat landscape allows for much larger, more unimpeded views of the sky. I really appreciated the large canvas the sky provided the sun on this particular twilight. So pretty… The Sun is a true artiste!
