I’m generally not one to get very excited about the Olympics.  However, this year I have been watching more than usual.  I often have sports on at home in the background, especially baseball.  It provides some nice ambience, and I generally enjoy watching most team sports.  

My son has been taking swimming classes for the past couple years, so he’s been very interested in swimming events at the summer Olympics.  We’ve watched a lot of swimming and diving, and it’s nice to be able to show him a sport that can otherwise be difficult to find on TV.  It’s also given him a chance to discover and learn about other sports, and that has been the most enjoyable part of the viewing experience for me.

I’m looking forward to watching more Olympic sports with my son while we can, and hopefully he enjoys the opportunity to discover some new things!
