On my last day in Hokkaido before returning home I went to the town of Otaru. Otaru is east of Sapporo right on the coast. In Otaru there is a mountain called “Tenguyama” that has many spots that look over the city. It was very beautiful to see the city right up against the sea. In Otaru there is also a very nice canal street that is very busy and has lots of cool shops.
