この写真はずいぶん昔、アメリカの中学校で日本語を教えているときのものです。学校にももちろん生徒たちは仮装してきます。日本から持って行った侍の袴。ペラペラで安っぽいのですが、一日これを着て過ごしました。生徒たちは、”Mr. Sakamoto, what are you supposed to be?”「何に仮装しているんだ。」と聞かれたものでした。

海外の方のハロウィンを見ていると日本のハロウィンにはそこまで大きなお祝いの日という感じがしません。

海外、特にアメリカでは全員が仮装をしたり、イベントムード一色といったイメージですね。

日本ではお菓子を食べたり、するだけの方も多いと思います。仮装をするには周りの目もありますし、なかなか乗り切らない部分が大きいのかもしれません。

楽しんで欲しいとは思いますが、毎年の東京の様なお祭り騒ぎは少し違う様な気もしますね。

I made açai bowls with my friend the other week as I hadn’t had the chance to try them!

They were so good, and even though we made tiny ones, they felt really delicious and healthy!

今日は小学生クラス対象のハロウィンパーティーの日です。今年はみなさんがどんなコスチュームを着てきてくれるのか楽しみです。校舎では10月25日（金）～10月31日（木）の間は講師も仮装して授業をしています。写真は去年のものです。カラフルで楽しいハロウィンを一緒に過ごしましょう！
