Over the break Sam and I went to Kanazawa. While we were there we stumbled across the figure museum! While I don’t have any figures myself, I know it’s a popular hobby people have all around the world. Some people build their figures, while other people collect hard to find figures. Some of the most popular figures are from anime! The special exhibit for the the figure museum was for Neon Genesis Evangelion, which happens to my one of my favorite animes! It was super impressive to see all the details and thought that went into the figures. It inspired me to watch the anime again! I am excited for the new movie!

Hey y’all!
A while ago, Nikki and I took a trip to Nagahama! Although I had already been there with Ryan and Jeramine, I knew I had to show Nikki the beauty of the city. Famous for the figurine museum, glass work and a castle, Nagahama also allows you to see a beautiful section of Lake Biwa. While we were there, we of course saw the castle, the lake, the arts district and the figurine museum. Nikki was especially impressed with the Evangelion exhibit that was going on.
Overall, the day trip was really nice and I’m excited to see where we will go next.
See y’all in class!

Hi there! Hope everyone is enjoying their break so far!
Last week, during my break, a friend of mine suggested that we go explore some waterfalls around Gifu Prefecture. We decided to head out towards Gero, which is an area I had never been before. This made me really excited since I love exploring new sites, especially outdoors! After a beautiful 3 hour car ride, we arrived. There was a little rain but I was thankful for it cooling down the air. I could not believe what I saw when we started to walk around. This whole area was so green and awesome! The scenery looked like something out of a fairytale! I’ve never seen such pretty blue-green water!
This mini trip has made me even more excited to explore more of Japan when I get the chance!

We can’t be too cautious these days, so let’s wash our hands and stay safe!!

Figs are not my favorite fruit, but since they are sort of rare it’s always nice when I have the chance to eat them. Recently Sam taught me something horrifying about figs, though! I didn’t know that most of the figs we eat are made only when a female wasp dies inside the fruit. Without the dead wasp inside, most figs won’t grow into fruit. It’s an interesting fact but as someone who really hates all bugs, it makes me not want to eat figs often!
Knowing more about the world is really fun, but sometimes it can be gross too… thanks, Sam.
