Every summer is hot, but this year feels especially hot.  The humidity in Japan at this time of year is something that I have trouble getting used to.  Back home in Chicago, our summers can get quite hot, but the humidity isn’t so high.  I’ve lived here for more than twelve years, and I’m still not used to it!  

Summer is a time when people go out and play, and during summer vacation there are lots of events for students.  At Hello!s we will be holding our annual English Days in August.  While these events are quite fun, it’s important to remember to stay hydrated and take breaks from any activities when you start to feel tired or hot.  

I hope everyone has a happy and safe summer!  Drink lots of water!

きれになったジョージア校、もう24歳ですね。今まで何人ここに泊まっただろう？？

来週には、梅雨が明けると予報されています。

今よりもさらに暑い日が、続くと思いますね。

梅雨明けは特に湿度が高くなるので、いつも以上に熱中症に注意しなければなりません。

水分補給だけでなく、塩分の補給も忘れずに。

夏休みも近くなってくるので体調管理に十分注意していきましょうね。

Along with the heat, summer brings along a lot of fun drinks to try and enjoy. My drink of choice this year is the 7/11 Starbucks Tropical Pink Me Moment. It reminds me of the pink Kool-Aid I used to drink when I was growing up!

Kia Ora and hello everyone!

A few weeks ago I went on a little trip to Takayama! 

This was my first time exploring more of rural Gifu so I was super excited for the opportunity! 

It was so stunning and beautiful and I had the best time exploring. I hope I can go back soon!
