Hey y’all!
It’s that time a year again where us Americans start talking about that weird holiday named Thanksgiving! Oh yes! The holiday all about giving thanks to friends, family and of course, EATING! I know… what a strange holiday, but it’s probably the most American holiday there is. This is also the holiday where everyone finds out if they can roast a turkey or…. burn down the house. There are several ways to cook a turkey. Most people will place the turkey in the oven and roast it, but others will fry the turkey in a large vat of oil. Either way makes for a great meal!

One of my friends back home in Texas is a Pit master. His name is Daniel, and being a pit master basically means he’s really, really good at cooking barbecue. As you may know, I extremely enjoy barbecue. One thing you may not know is that I use to work with Daniel at a Barbecue Stand. During these days I would literally eat barbecue everyday(Which is not good for your health!). Recently, I’ve been telling Daniel about Japan, and about they different kinds of Japanese dishes and snacks. One thing I thought he might be interested in was Wagyu beef. Wagyu beef seems to be available almost everywhere in Japan, but not so much in The U.S. Wagyu beef is specifically from Japanese cattle, so getting it outside of Japan is very difficult. A few days after telling my friend about this, he has looked into getting a whole Wagyu brisket( Brisket is a cut of meat from a cow) sent to him from Japan. He looks Barbecuing very much and wants to try cooking with this new type of meat. He even offered to cook it when I come back home next. Hopefully he tries to cook it soon, and if so I’ll keep you guys updated.
Til next time…
