Hey y’all!
I hope y’all are staying extra warm this December with lots of hot coco and loads of blankets. For the second year now I’m making my way back home to spend Christmas and New Years with my family, friends and boyfriend. Although I absolutely loathe the plane ride to America, I’m excited spend Christmas in a new place. In March of this year, my brother took a job with Porsche in Columbus, Ohio. In comparison to Texas that place is unbelievably cold, so I’m excited and nervous to experience my first white Christmas. I’m also hoping this time in Columbus will also be the start of a new family tradition. Either way, I’m just excited to do something new with my family.
See y’all in class!

Drawing is one of my favorite pastimes. I don’t get a lot of time to draw much these days, and when I do have the time it’s sometimes hard to figure out what it is I want to draw. I like drawing because it gives me a chance to relax while also expressing myself. There isn’t one thing in particular that I like drawing, but many things such as; landscapes, buildings, people, or even just recreating other people’s art. When I first started to draw I think I was a high school student. I use to do it as a way to kill time, but soon I started taking classes for it so that I could improve. Eventually I found myself spending a lot more time and money trying to develop this skill. I would go to the art shop for supplies just so that I could but better material to work with. Once I graduated high school however, all of that changed and I didn’t have as much time to draw like I wanted. Despite this, I still made an effort to try and sketch whenever possible. There’s an English proverb that says “if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” Which means that if you don’t use certain skills you have eventually you will forget how to do it, and drawing is one thing I wouldn’t want to lose. So if there is something you enjoy doing always make time for it or else you might forget how to do it!
Until next time!

Last week was Thanksgiving! I wanted to prepare something easy, since I don’t have much time these days. I also wanted to make something that would go well with turkey, potatoes and other traditional Thanksgiving foods. I decided cornbread would be the best choice! It can be eaten sweet (with butter and honey) but it’s also good with savory things. I hadn’t eaten cornbread in a long time, so I was excited. It didn’t look so beautiful but it tasted really good! I think you can tell just by looking at it that it is basically… corn + bread… so it has a simple but delicious taste. I hope that my friends enjoyed eating it too!
