夏の暑さもおさまり、秋らしい湿度が少ない涼しい気候になってきましたね。

秋を肌で感じ始めると、何か温かいものを食べたくなります。

ということでオニオングラタンスープを作りました。玉ねぎをあめ色になるまで

炒めるのが大変ではありますが、とても簡単に作れてしまいます。

これから秋が深まっていくにつれて、秋に対する期待が膨らんでいきますね。

暑くてできなかったスポーツを始めたり、秋らしい食べ物を楽しむのも良いで

すね。秋は、何か新しいことを始めたりするのにぴったりです。

Hey, y’all! So, earlier in the month I decided to go to Seoul in South Korea for the first time, since we had some time off and I had never been, and it was close enough to Japan for me to go quickly. South Korea is very different from Japan, but at the same time is similar. One big thing for me that was a huge pleasure was the absurd amount of spicy food! I think Japan lacks spicy food, as many people don’t usually like it, but in Korea the food was burning the tongue out of my mouth! I would definitely return to Korea solely for all the amazing chicken meals they had to offer. 

みなさんこんにちは。

ぼくは先日Footgolfというスポーツを初めてしてきました。みなさんは聞いたことありますか？

名前の通り、足でやるゴルフです。サッカーが好きの人なら一回はやってみたいと思ったことありませんか？

実際にやってみて非常に楽しかったです。蹴るだけなのですが意外と体力が必要でつかれました。現役でサッカーをしている人たちには物足りないかもしれませんね。

ゴルフ場ならではの景色と解放感の中で思いっ切りボールを蹴るのは非常に気持ち良かったです。もし機会があったら挑戦してみてください！

This month I visited Shikoku for the first time. It was quite nice, actually. It was a little rainy, largely overcast, a touch chilly compared to August– my kind of weather, in other words. We were also well outside the urban sprawl of Nagoya, which meant lots of open spaces and greenery amidst the mountainous terrain– another favorite, of mine. We were only there for a couple days, but I certainly enjoyed the scenery. Being out in nature is always a soothing experience for me, no matter what continent I’m on. Now that I’m back in the city, I like to look at the pictures I took in Shikoku. Here are some of my favorites.

そしてやってきました！食欲の秋。

おいしい食べ物がいっぱい。

夏は夏で、とうもろこしやぶどう、スイカ、きゅうり

そうめん、うなぎをおいしくいただきましたが、

秋は、甘味もよいですね。

栗きんとんなんて渋いお茶にぴったりです。

クラフトフェアに行ったはずなのにフルーツ大福を

買って帰る自分。何かがちがう・・・

秋ですもん、まぁいいですよね。

フルーツ大福も進化してますね、イチジクとくりきんとん

のとりあわせなんて、すごいです！

今日はご飯を抜くつもりです。たぶん。

そして芸術の秋も味わうつもりです。
