あたたかい日が続き、過ごしやすい気候になってきましたね。

スーパーでは新ジャガや新タマネギが並ぶようになってきました。

我が家の庭でも今年も夏野菜を育てよう！と思って畑を耕そうとしたところ、しその芽が無数に出ていました。

去年プランターで栽培していたしその種が畑に落ち、それが芽を出したのだと思います。

抜いてしまうのももったいないので、今年はそのしそを大量に育てることに決めました。

使い道はそんなに思いつきませんが、大量消費ができるしそジュースを作ってみようと思います。

この写真は、近くのお店で売っていた野菜を外で焼いたものです。

なすとアスパラですが、とても大きかったのでつい買ってしまいました。

切って食材にすることもできますが、せっかくなのでそのまま焼いてかぶりつくことにしました。

なすにはしょうがとしょうゆを、アスパラには塩をつけて食材の味を楽しみました。

焼きながら季節外れのさんまでも一緒に焼けばよかったと思いました。

先日の日曜日から、今年の夏のサマースクールの研修が始まりました。

参加者全員が初めて顔を合わせたので、みんな少し緊張している様子でした。

まだまだ先のようですが、気づけば３か月後にはアメリカです。

有意義な研修にしていきたいと思います。

In New York, I lived with a beautiful black and white cat named Pierrot. Right now, Pierrot is staying at my friend Regina’s apartment. He’s really happy because Regina is a freelancer, so she is almost always home working on jewelry designs and able to pet him a lot. Pierrot was born in Brooklyn in 2015 — he was found living on a boat with his brothers and sisters! Even though he didn’t meet many people when he was a kitten, he is really friendly. Most cats like only one or two people, but Pierrot likes everyone. The first time he meets someone, he will probably end up sleeping on their lap. He talks a lot so having him in the house is a bit like living with another person. I miss him a lot and hope to see him very soon!!

Hey y’all!

  So here is something y’all may or may not realize; Japan has  A LOT of really cool attractions that the rest of the world can only with they had. I feel that the concept of these cat, owl, hedgehog, and puppy cafes is truly one of the coolest industries ever. Although the idea of petting or touching dogs or cats is pretty normal, getting the opportunity to get close to an animal such as an owl is, well, WILD! So, while I was out and about with my mother in Tokyo we ran into a lady in Akihabara advertising for an owl cafe. We though, why not? And headed down the street to check it out. It was AMAZING! All these owls flying around, ready for pets from everyone.Truly a wonderful and unique experience! 

  So know this! The whole idea of these animal cafes is truly amazing and consider yourself lucky that you have so many of them in your country.

５月のお休みの間に、東京で開催中のクリムト展に行ってきました。

個人的に一番好きな作品は今回展示されていませんでしたが、

華やかな油彩画たちのおかげでとても贅沢な時間を過ごすことができました(^^)

そして東京あるあるなのが、海外からの観光客に道を尋ねられること。

今回は英語とフランス語で尋ねられました。

私は英語、友人はフランス語が分かるのでばっちりお役に立てたはず！

みなさんももし声をかけられたら、焦らず怖がらずに、ぜひお手伝いしてあげてほしいです。
