Hey y’all!
Over the last two weeks I ventured back to America to celebrate Christmas and New Years with my family! I wish I could write and tell you that I went on tons of adventures such as hiking and sightseeing, but mostly I just ate. A lot. From the time I woke up till the time I went to bed, I was stuffing my face with BBQ, hamburgers and most importantly, everything Mexican. Tacos, nachos, enchiladas, quesadillas, chips and salsa. You name it, I ate it. For the most part, I feel that you can get any cultures cuisine in Japan, but not Mexican food. At least, not like it is back home. Other than eating I did get go shopping, go to a basketball game and even go to a few parties. However, just being home with my family was the best part of all.
Overall, the break was so much fun, but it is really nice to be back in Japan. I’ve missed all of y’all and can’t wait to see y’all in class!
Welcome back and Happy New Year!

Over Christmas break I went home to Minnesota again. Minnesota is called the land of 10,000 lakes, and since it’s cold in the winter it’s the best place to ice skate! My parents still live in the house I grew up in, which is only a 2 minute walk from a lake! Last year it was super cold so we didn’t do any ice skating. But this year the temperature has been right around 0 c, perfect for skating! We went out three times and we are planning to skate again on New Year’s day. Then I’ll fly back to Japan. Here’s a picture of my family with my uncle, aunt, nieces and nephews, and their dogs!
