だんだんと春が近づいてきて、

庭の梅の花がちらほらと咲き始めました。

冬の終わりもすぐそこに見えてきましたね。

みなさんこの季節いかがお過ごしでしょうか？

この間家族の誕生日があり、初めての挑戦をしてみました！

これです！！！

苺が主役のように見えますが、

実はアップルカスタードタルトケーキです(^^♪

まずはタルト生地をオーブンで焼き(プレーンとココアの２層)、

その上にシナモンの香りをつけて焼いたリンゴを敷き詰め、

カスタードクリームをのせた上に苺のスライスをトッピングしました。

想像していたよりも美味しく、しかも簡単にできてしまったのでびっくりしました。

以外に楽しめたので、またチャンスがあれば挑戦したいと思いました!

もう２月が終わると思うとびっくりです！

お正月、節分、バレンタインデイ・・・

たくさんのイベントを楽しみました。そして

今度はひなまつり。

大安の日を選んでおひな様を飾りました。

最近では、くまのおひな様や、キティちゃんの

おひな様がありますね。

そして、つるし雛も素敵です。

女の子の成長を祝う楽しいイベントです。

甘酒、雛あられ、ひしもちなど食べてゆっくり

日本のお人形をみて楽しみましょう。

Today is Ryan’s birthday, so we decided to visit Meiji Mura in Inuyama. I have never visited Meiji Mura before so it was great to see it for the first time. I was surprised to learn that it was actually a kind of park with an admission fee. And also that it was the grounds for a bunch of old historical buildings from throughout Japan. My favorite place to visit was the house of Soseki and Ogai. I actually read some short stories by them when I studied abroad in Tokyo. Plus, I am somewhat of a writer myself.

But the best part (aside from spending the day with Ryan) was trying on hakama. I felt so beautiful despite not being able to breathe very well. Traditional Japanese clothing is quite tight. We only had 5 minutes to take pictures, but I think we made the most of it. Luckily, it was also a beautiful day, so the trip was pleasant, and I got to spend it with someone I care about. 

数カ月前からセキュリティの関係でアメリカジョージア州にあるジョージア校にカメラをつけています。夏には緑豊かなジョージアの地も冬はここ岐阜より寒くなります。さずがに雪が降ることは少ないですが、木々の葉も落ちさみしい風景です。それでもあと1ヶ月半で高校生18名が、「スプリングブレイクインアメリカ」でジョージアを訪れます。今年はニューヨークとフロリダも訪問し、かなり温度差がある3か所になります。
