My children’s birthdays are very close.  They are only 4 days apart, so we can celebrate with them both together.  This past week my daughter turned 4 and my son turned 7, so we decided to take them out for a nice birthday treat.  They’re both very interested in Legos, so what better place to go than Legoland for a fun birthday celebration!  We rode lots of rides and had a great time enjoying all of the fun things Legoland has to offer.  The birthday package that Legoland offers is also a really great time.  If you’re into Legos and want to celebrate a birthday at Legoland, I highly recommend it!

ジェットコースターにも乗れない自分ですが、飛行機には乗らないわけにはいきません。いつも恐々と乗り込むわけですが、一方ではワクワクした気分にもなります。よく揺れる=bumpyな飛行機も何でもないようなふりをしながら、必死で座席のひじ掛けをつかんでいます。皆さんはどうですか？

誰かを応援する時、なんと声をかけますか。

「頑張れ」や「負けるな」など様々ですが、「ファイト」と言うこともあるかと思います。

しかし、この「ファイト」は和製英語であり、英語で応援する表現として使いません。

fightは「戦う」「喧嘩する」「対戦する」などの意味なのです。

英語で誰かを応援する場合によく使われる表現に、「Come on.」や「Let’s go.」と言うことが多いですね。

興味がある方は、英語圏では通じない和製英語を調べてみると面白いかと思います。

I know it’s not even October yet but I DON’T CARE! I want Halloween decorations NOW! So I made this wreath and ordered this pumpkin balloon thing off of Amazon. I’m still wanting to buy more though!
