These last couple weeks a lot of my C3 students have been going on their school trips. For the most part, Ogaki-area students have been going to Tokyo it seems, though some of my students also spent a couple weeks in England. School trips are always exciting for students, and it’s always great hearing them talk about their trips in English in class. Many students had different experiences in Tokyo, and hearing them talk about their time there has made me really want to go and visit the city.
I’m also very thankful to my students for bringing back great souvenirs from wherever they went on their school trips. A couple of my C3s know that I’m a big Pokemon fan, so below you can see a couple of my favorite souvenirs! I know that there are still some school trips to come this year, and I hope that everyone enjoys their time with their friends and classmates.

Hey y’all!
Although my birthday was quite some time ago, I thought I would share this photo of me from 27 years ago. This was taken at my first birthday party, and I’m apparently chewing on a pink, plastic, party cup. My mother told me that as soon as I got my cake (a cake made with a hard type of icing called “royal icing”), I took my whole faced and smashed it into the center of the cake. Once I was done eating/playing with it, my parents then had to take the garden hose to me to wash off all the cake… I was a crazy mess as a baby and as adult! Some things just don’t change…
see y’all in class!

I’ve been exploring Gifu more lately. I went to a pond called “Monet’s Pond”.
It is named after an artist named Claude Monet. He is famous for his impressionist style of painting
This pond looks exactly like Monet painting.
The photo does not do it justice because it looks way better in person. I hope y’all like it.
I recommend adding it to your to go list!
